Susan B. Anthony Project has staff specially trained to work with children and teens.

We’re also available to counsel and support parents of children and teens who have witnessed or experienced domestic violence, dating violence, or sexual assault.

To speak to a child advocate, call 860.482.7133. You can talk to our child advocates by phone or meet with them in person.

We have a beautiful playroom at our Counseling and Advocacy Center at 179 Water Street in Torrington. Kids love it!

While it sounds cliché, Susan B. Anthony Project helped me realize that I was not alone, not even close to being alone, in my situation. My SBAP advocate helped me understand that staying in an abusive relationship did not make me a weak or stupid person. She served as a truly unbiased and non-judgmental listener.

I met with Laura, the child advocate at Susan B. Anthony Project. Laura listened to me and didn’t judge me. She understood that I was a victim, too. She helped me and my children begin to heal.
